2019 Pilot Refocus Yo Self Retreats
 

 

Mission

Our mission in organizing these retreats is to help women take the time to refocus on what is and isn’t working. The goal here is not to give you a break (that’s just a bonus).  The goal is to help you find a way to incorporate positive habits into your every day to make you a better human.  So, take the time to refocus on what works for you.

The July 19-21 will be an abbreviated retreat to provide a more affordable option and shorter time away from home responsibilities - participants can join on Saturday morning or Friday evening, and will have the option of adding a massage at an added price.

The extended, September 12-15 retreat will start Thursday, late afternoon and continue until lunch on Sunday; we will offer workshops led by a licensed therapist. Topics will include mom-specific issues, along with general relationship issues. A massage is included in the retreat price, but participants have the option of opting out for a lower overall price.

What to expect

Sweat, tears and laughter.  This is a time to push yourself physically with a variety of workouts led by trained instructors (yoga, mixed yoga-cardio-toning classes, hikes) and mentally with meditation exercises and guided group chats.  We will help you find tools that you can incorporate into your mornings to start your day right and re-energize yourself throughout the day.

You will receive the Refocus Yo Self workbook to complete through your stay - individually and with the group to address various aspects of your every day that can using refocusing: relationships, fitness, nutrition, and so forth.

The three night retreat will include a workshop led by a licensed therapist, added variety in fitness classes, and more in depth discussions on those ever so important topics included in the Refocus Yo Self workbook.

About the food (and wine)

We will have an experienced chef guide us through balanced meals throughout your stay.  In keeping with the goal to arm you with tools you can take home, you will receive all recipes to replicate these meals at home.  And, you will have the option to assist in cooking one of the meals.  It's not a detox weekend, so we will serve wine, beer and vodka with dinner.

 
 

Rest & Relax

Whether you’re a regular or it’s a special treat, who doesn’t love a good massage? Our four day retreats will include a massage. Abbreviated two day retreat participants will have the option of booking an in-home massage for an added price.

 
 
 

Organic Cuisine

Most dinner menus will be prepared by an experienced chef, sourced by mostly organic food options. You also will benefit from a variety of balanced breakfast and lunch options. All participants will receive the recipes of the meals provided throughout the retreat.

Balance and education are key. I hope to introduce tidbits of food habits that can easily be introduced into your every day.

Outdoor Focus

Reconnect with yourself as you reconnect with nature. When you let yourself get lost in a hike, trail run, bike ride, etc. it allows you to be truly present. Not to mention the benefits of good old Vitamin D. This is something we can all take home once we leave our weekend together.
